Trying to find a location for my first visual exercise was a bit difficult. In the end I discovered that the location I chose - a small 'champions' room inside the main building of the golf course I go to during lunch to relax - had both interesting and banal areas. I could capture some images through the glass and make it visually appealing, but the rest of the room was quite barren.
One of my favorite photos I captured was the plaid suit that was behind glass. I may have only been fascinated, at first, by the fact that it was a suit (I love suits & I want to major in fashion), but then I liked it even more after seeing how I was able to capture it through my lens. The most interesting images for me were the ones behind the glass, which isn't bad considering it was a room dedicated to golf champions.
On the other hand, I do enjoy the images I got of the spiral staircase and the chandelier, but you can only do so much with it. After a while those kinds of photos seem typical. It was a small space to work in and the only other somewhat interesting photos were of the various windows. I certainly didn't want to take photos of the restroom doors but the windows made it difficult to edit because there was so much light feeding in.
